Our Services & Specialties

Automated Assembly Equipment

Fully automated and human-interacting (semi-automated) assembly equipment tailored to your production needs. Our tools seamlessly integrate into existing factory automation systems, covering processes such as adhesive/sealant dispensing, automated fastening, press operations, handling, and soldering.

Automated Test Equipment

Fully automated and human-interacting (semi-automated) test equipment verifies the safety and functionality of your product. Experience with application-specific functional (End-of-Line) tests, Hipot / IR / ground bond, micro-ohm impedance, "bed-of-nails" PCBA tests, pressure-decay leak testing, force-displacement characterization, and more. Broad experience with a variety of data acquisition hardware and software.

Build-to-Prints

Builds of customer-supplied designs with in-house engineering support to minimize burden on your limited engineering resources. Our engineering team can work with incomplete documentation packages, propose design updates to reduce cost / complexity, or simply execute upon your vision. Our design or yours (or a bit of each), rest assured the system you received will be meticulously built to the most stringent standards of fit, finish, function, and most importantly - safety.

R&D Equipment

Quick-turn around & cost-effective custom laboratory equipment capable of meeting extremely aggressive performance targets. Our team of engineers will work your team of scientists to turn their ideas in to actionable requirements, in to designs, and in to safe, productive, and enabling machines. We’ll remain dynamic to developing ideas, integrating them into system requirements throughout the project, quickly and efficiently.

High Vacuum Systems

Experienced designers and builders of high vacuum systems, familiar with a variety of industry-standard vacuum pumps, flanges, feedthroughs, and more. In-house fabrication capability enables rapid deployment.

High Temperature Systems

Experience designing and fabricating high temperature, closed-loop controlled systems. Familiarity with materials (ceramics, refractory metals, and graphite) and processes required for stable, long-lasting components. Experience with various heating elements, temperature sensors (pyrometers, thermocouples, etc.), and controllers.

Motion Control

Motion control experts optimally select and size the right motion actuators and controls for your application. Motors, gearboxes, belt- and chain-drive systems, pneumatic / hydraulics actuators, and more.

Requirements

Every great machine starts with a great idea.  In this initial stage of a (potential) project – our role is to turn your idea into our measurable & actionable requirements that we can design to, and eventually to test to.  This is where you, the customer, will start to feel the difference working with WBM.  Got a napkin sketch?  An email?  A phone call?  No problem.  We can work with that.  New developments from your R&D team?  That’s fine, we can fold those into this build.  Notice a theme here?  In short, “WE CAN!”

Once requirements are relatively solidified, we’ll quote cost and lead time to design and build your system.  We typically turn around quotes in between a couple of days and a couple of weeks, depending on scope and complexity.

At WBM, we see ourselves as your partner, and mutual enabler, working together towards the creation of a system users will find enjoyable, intuitive, and be safe and productive, while using.  The requirements we work together to create will serve as the framework your system will be built upon.
